I’ve just stum­bled across a won­der­ful resource for book lovers — social net­work­ing for bibliophiles.

Library­Thing pro­vides a handy way to orga­nize your book­shelf online, and share what you’re read­ing with oth­ers, or dis­cover peo­ple whose read­ing inter­ests over­lap a lot with yours.

As you can see here, it pro­vides a nice wid­get to dis­play a ran­dom selec­tion of titles from your online book­shelf. When you click on a book cover, you link directly to that book’s detailed infor­ma­tion page at Amazon.

Maybe some­day I’ll learn enough about script­ing to select just the books tagged with a spe­cific sub­ject, as opposed to a ran­dom assort­ment. (That might be a nice ser­vice for my clients!)
