I’ve just stumbled across a wonderful resource for book lovers — social networking for bibliophiles.

LibraryThing provides a handy way to organize your bookshelf online, and share what you’re reading with others, or discover people whose reading interests overlap a lot with yours.

As you can see here, it provides a nice widget to display a random selection of titles from your online bookshelf. When you click on a book cover, you link directly to that book’s detailed information page at Amazon.

Maybe someday I’ll learn enough about scripting to select just the books tagged with a specific subject, as opposed to a random assortment. (That might be a nice service for my clients!)
