Blessings for Dana

October 2nd, 2009

This post is for my brother Dana, who has begun fighting cancer and will soon undergo radiation to the throat and neck – which he informs us is the worst kind of radiation.zen-flower Followed by chemo…

Dana has an amazingly positive attitude about his disease and its prognosis. He visualizes a laser beam of light illuminating and then transforming his cancerous cells into healthy ones – or eradicating those that refuse to be transformed. Yes, he will undergo all that medical science chooses to throw at him. In spite of – or in addition to medicine’s best capabilities — I think Dana sincerely believes that it will be the power of his transformative wishing and prayerful expectations that will bring him through this disease a changed, but healthy man. Reinforced by all the prayers and blessings that his friends and loved ones shower upon him.

Wishing Dana the best of outcomes

May this bowl fill up with blessings and prayers for Dana. And may he receive the healthy transformation that he’s working so hard to bring about.

And if you want to send him your good wishes in person, his blog will bring you up to date on his progress.

What makes Dana’s optimism so much more poignant is the fact that he is now the third person in his family to undergo cancer treatment. He is following in the footsteps of his wife and stepdaughter, both of whom are cancer survivors and fierce fighters. Surely an inspiration to him.
